Aftercare Advice

Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions -

  • Do not get your eyelashes wet in the first 48 hours.

  • No sauna's, Jacuzzi's, steam rooms or spas in the first 48 hours.

  • No oily make-up is to be used on or near your lashes (this includes eyeliner and eye shadow).

  • No mascara is to be used on your lashes. If used your lashes will clump together and will result in a removal and full new set needed.

  • Brush your lashes daily.

  • Do not fiddle, pick o pull your lashes - you will damage your natural lashes.

  • Try to sleep on your back to avoid squashing them.

Ensure you book your infills every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes looking beautiful!

The above aftercare must be followed after every set of infills too!

Aftercare

  • Immediately after your treatment your eyebrows  may show slight redness and / or swelling and the colour may seem dark and intense – this is quite normal.

  • On the first day eyebrows should be gently cleansed with the shampoo and warm water. Gently rub in circles until you feel the skin underneath your finger. After washing, apply the aftercare cream. The first washing and ointment application should be done 2 hours after the procedure and every 2 hours until you go to bed. Before going to bed, after washing and applying the ointment apply cling film over your eyebrows and secure with a hair band/plaster.

  • During the next 5 days, apply ointment 4-5 times per day, whereas washing and cling film are no longer necessary.

  • Additional treatments cannot be undertaken until the area has completely healed. A 4/6 week healing time is required before any more work can be undertaken.

  • For 4 weeks after the Microblading procedure you should avoid swimming, sunbathing, tanning salons, saunas, invasive cosmetic procedures, excessive sweating, application of make-up to eyebrow area, applying lotions with active ingredients to the eyebrow area, physical effects to the treated area (rubbing, scratching, excessive washing etc.)

  • Strong chemicals or glycolic acid/peels of any kind may cause the pigment to fade. Always telephone and check with your practitioner if in any doubt.

  • DO NOT pick, pull or rub at the treated area as it WILL result in pigment loss.

REMEMBER: Like all cosmetic procedures, this is a process and everyone's skin will heal differently during              the healing process. Do not expect immediate results.  PLEASE be patient, it  will take a few weeks before                  you can fully appreciate the results.
